Utica Rotary donates funds for RCIL program.
Gala Committee members and Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) officials gathered at RCIL headquarters on July 25 for an official check presentation. Utica Rotary’s ‘Service Above Self’ Gala in June raised $12,432.76 to benefit RCIL’s Many Hearts Program.
More specifically, the proceeds will provide a series of art events designed to afford older adults and their caregivers the opportunity to spend time engaged in activities like painting and drum circles in a safe, accessible, and supportive environment.
“We are extremely grateful to the Utica Rotary Club, sponsors and all those who attended the ‘Service Above Self’ gala for their incredible generosity,” said Many Hearts Program Director Mary Brognano. “This donation will significantly impact our program, allowing us to expand our services by creating enriching experiences for participants and caregivers.”
“Utica Rotary was proud to support this incredible cause,” said Past President and Gala Committee Chairman Stephen Turnbull. “Our third annual Gala was a great success, thanks to the support of our amazing sponsors and friends in attendance. We can’t wait for next year!”
