Program: Carli Sterling, relationship manager of the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area, speak about this vital community resource. Oneida and Herkimer counties are lucky to be served by our local United Way, among many other services is the 211 resource, dial 211 and get an informational line, with real people to talk with, to connect people who have needs with those that can help.  211 also helps United Way gather statistics on what the needs of our community are, then adjust services accordingly.

Our United Way has a remarkable impact on our community because they are among the best at pulling together the right people/organizations when there is a need.  With thousands of volunteers locally, they help more than 250,000 people through 50 programs.  The Unity Way creates solutions to local problems.  There are many ways to get involved, check out their website unitedwayvgu.org (united way of the valley and greater utica)
