What Have You Done to Make Rotary Proud:
  • Israel Acosta recognized the great weekly programs organized and presented by the club

Program:
Israel Acosta introduced Representative Anthony Brinidisi, U.S. Congressman for the 22nd District of New York. Rep. Brinidisi spoke of his work on the committees he belongs to—Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and Armed Services—as well as legislation he has introduced and was signed by President Trump. An issue he is working hard on is lowering the cost of prescription drugs.

Rep. Brinidisi belongs to the Problem Solvers Caucus, which is a bi-partisan group made up of 24 Democrats and 24 Republicans. The group meets once a week to discuss ways to work together on issues. He also has three advisory committees to help him with issues on veterans, the environment and agriculture.

After speaking, Rep. Brindisis answered questions for 20 minutes.
