B 10 - That's 'B' as in 'B' a Volunteer

The third Monday of the month is approaching (next Monday, January 18), and that means that Utica Rotarians will be descending on The Pines (formerly known as the Eden Park Nursing Home) for an hour of bingo and spirited conversation.

Bingo stalwart Roger Breslow will be away this month, so Mary Lou Caskey invites all club members to hit The Pines at 7:00pm on Monday. Previous bingo experience is not necessary, although it might be helpful to have committed to memory a series of words beginning with B, I, N, G, and O.

Procrastinators, This May Be Your Last Chance

Recent weather trends bode well for the annual Rotary ski trip, set for Thursday, January 28. If you are a skier and are waffling about your attendance, your chance may be hanging by the thinnest of threads. As of Friday only three seats on the bus were unfilled, according to event coordinator John "Boards" Burdick. If, and only if there are seats remaining, a $20 bill will reserve your spot. Contact John NOW to see if you have a chance.

The Future of Rotary is in OUR Hands

The new calendar year brings a renewal of Rotary spirit. Our club provides leadership for local service, district initiatives, and worldwide projects that literally save life and limb. An upcoming issues of The Hub will spotlight a project initiated by Utica Rotarian PDG Don Reese that is changing the lives of Chilean kids. We will also catch up with Immediate Past President Lou Steppello to see how his Rotary life has changed since he stepped down as our Prez.
