A Long Rotary "To Do" List
This is a busy time of the year for us all, and is especially so for Utica Rotarians. We need holiday helpers for the many events of the season:-Holiday Cheer This Friday is the 38th annual Special Needs Holiday Party. Amy Mielnicki is looking to fill out her 3:00 pm setup crew, and could use a few more volunteers for 5:00 pm duty. The College Center at MVCC will be rocking to the sounds of The Flame, and Rotarians will be working with ARC staffers to make this an evening to remember for several hundred attendees.
-Exercise Before Eating The 25th Thanksgiving Day Run/Walk to Prevent Hunger is set for the morning of Turkey Day. This event, led by our own PP Dave Jones has raised thousands of dollars and tons of food for area food pantries. Click here for this year's flyer with more information.
-Genuine Service We will again participate in Thanksgiving day meal deliveries. Many Rotarians have volunteered, but all are welcome to deliver holiday meals to the area homebound. Click here to email PP Don St Louis if you can lend a hand.
-We Need Some Ringers Once again Utica Rotarians will stand kettleside to benefit the Salvation Army. PP John Kogut is organizing our participation. Signup sheets will be at our Friday meetings, and there will be more information in The Hub as the day draws near.
-Support Your Club - We are about 25% of the way to our $20,000 Service Fund goal for this year. The average pledge so far is excellent; we just need to hear from more of our members. This is the internal fund that we use to support all of our projects throughout the year. To those who have given, we thank you. To the rest of the membership....please support your club and its work through a donation to our Service Fund.
