Multiple Awards for Utica At Changing of the Guard

More than 150 District 7150 Rotarians filled the renovated banquet room at Dibble's Inn for the Changing of the Guard celebration on June 30. Utica Rotarian and District Governor Larry Calabrese welcomed DeWitt Rotarian Fred Cholet as DG for 2009-2010.

Utica Rotary was well represented by leaders past, present and future. Lou Steppello passed the gavel to our new president, Greg Benincasa, and Norma Montagnino-Gemza presented new Sgt. At Arms Sam Rudolph with the traditional SAA gift, a family size bottle of TUMS.

Our club was also recognized during the awards presentation. Utica Rotary won top prizes in the following categories:

Exemplary Service
Innovation
Communication
Club Service
Community Service
Vocational Service

Thanks to all members who contributed to our successes this year. It was a proud evening for Utica Rotary.
