A Word or Twoooo from President Louuuuu

The Great Race - The31st Boilermaker has come and gone. Our club was fortunate to have two Olympians and its race director for our first 08-09 program. Marathon gold medalist Frank Shorter, Catherine (The Great) Ndereba (she finished second by 13 seconds!) and Race executive director Tim Reed. Excellent program. Thanks to Bill Waszkiewicz and our Program Committee for a great start.

For Whom The Bell Tolls - I never carry my cell phone with me (well, hardly ever). The one time I do is during my introduction of Utica mayor David Roefaro. It rang twice!!!! EMBARRASSING!!! So as a reminder turn off cell phones or put on vibrate during our meetings. I know I will.

We Miss You - Our average attendance for a Friday meeting is around 50, including guests. Approximately one third of our members attend our weekly meetings. Let's be a bit more proactive. Contact your sponsor or the member you sponsored -- ask them to attend the next meeting or find out why they haven't been attending. LETS GET THEM INVOLVED!!!!!

If You Can.....You Should - Next week's program is a visit from our District Governor and his wife. Lets show our support for DG Larry and Annabelle Calabrese. Bring potential members, family and friends. Let them see and hear what Rotary is and what it stand for.

Let's work to Make Dreams Real in our community and the world.
