31st Boilermaker on Center Stage This Friday

It will be a bittersweet Boilermaker weekend for the 31st annual event. Our good friend Bob Ingalls is gone, but the greatest 15K road race in the country lives on. This Friday we will hear of the new challenges of this year's race, and the plans for the best weekend of the year in the Mohawk Valley.

One constant over the years has been the performance of Utica Rotarian Larry DiCesare. Larry is among the handful of runners who have completed all 30 previous 15K races.

Bring a prospective member to our meeting this Friday!!

District Governor a Utica Rotarian

The leader of the 50 clubs in District 7150 is a Utica Rotarian. Larry Calabrese assumed the governorship on July 1, and will make his official visit to our club on July 18. Learn more about DG Larry in next week's The Hub, and plan to greet him at Twin Ponds one week from this Friday.

LOOUUUUUUU!

Steppello Installed as Utica Rotary's 93rd President

"You can't live life in a vacuum", or so says the President of Utica Rotary for 2008-09, Lou Steppello. Like fine scotch, President Lou has aged gracefully over his 12 years in our club. He has served as club Sergeant at Arms, led the Friday committee, served on the board, and for many years has been the leader of our Special Needs Holiday Party.

Lou and his can-do attitude are a great example for our members. He has always Stepp-ed in to do what needs to be done to make our programs a success. What a perfect home club prez for our District Governor, Larry Calabrese.

Lou will make his introductory remarks at our club meeting on Friday, July 25.
