You Are Cordially Invited to Attend.....

Utica Rotary's Landmine Awareness Dinner Event

Friday, April 24, 2009, 6pm – 9:30pm

Yahnundasis Golf Club, New Hartford

Guest Speakers include:

Kurt Chesko, HALO Trust (USA)

&

Charles A. Stonecipher, Program Manager for Cambodia

U.S. Department of State – Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement

There is no charge for the buffet dinner, as the cost has been underwritten by the

Utica Rotary International Projects Fund.    Drinks are extra and payable in cash.

All donations collected during the event will directly benefit a Halo Trust demining project in Cambodia (K5 region) and be combined with funds raised by several Australian Rotary Clubs and the Seattle 4 Rotary Club, Seattle, Washington.    And the good news is that all dollars donated to this project will receive a 100% match through a Halo/U.S. State Department grant.

Donations will be collected during the event and a minimum of $40 per person has been set as a guideline.  You are encouraged, however, to contribute as much as you are able.  With the cost of removing one mine exceeding $100, your generosity will make a difference.

Please also invite your family and friends to attend and to support this worthwhile international effort.  Space is limited, however, at the Yahnundasis, so please make your reservation early by emailing PP Georgiana at gride@adelphia.net .  Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation with more information about Rotarians for Mine Action efforts around the world.
